Bottled water distribution in Malibu 10 am to 6 pm
LA County Water District 29 - Malibu: Do not use tap water order remains in effect. Bottled water is available 23533 West Civic Center Way daily from 10 am to 6 pm. A schedule of improvements to be completed by 2026 includes replacement of two water storage tanks, replacement of more than 6 miles of water lines and repair of creek crossings in the Malibu watershed. District 29 serves 20,000 residents through more than 7,500 connections, including 200-plus miles of pipeline in the distribution system. One primary water source fills 50 finished water storage tanks to meet peak demand for potable water in the district.

FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PST WEDNESDAY...
Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 possible through San Joaquin Valley until 9 AM PST tomorrow, Wednesday. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. Drain exposed pipes, insulate or open valves to allow water to drip through.

Streamflow Situation from the network of US Geological Survey in California
North Coast water levels run mostly seasonal normal Tuesday with approximately one third of monitoring sites below normal, less than 25th percentile. Central Valley watershed region 5 flows range from below normal to much above seasonal normal, the highest water levels are found in Modoc and Lake Counties. San Francisco watershed is mostly normal, the Central Coast watershed flows run mostly below seasonal normal. Los Angeles watershed Region 4 continues with lower than seasonal average water levels. Colorado River and Lahontan interior watersheds are still running some lower water levels, the extreme drought has ended in Inyo, both watershed regions are rated below normal throughout.

Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Boil water advisories issued for Pasadena, Malibu, Palisades and Pasadena Boil Water Advisories have been upgraded to Do Not Use advisories due to debris and harmful chemicals that may have entered the water lines for tap water. All residents are urged to use bottled water until further notice and switch to bottled water.
Malibu (LA County WW District 29) serves 20,000 people from fifty finished water storage tanks. The potable water is imported from a single source wholesaler for distribution in the local area.
