Santa Ynez River running much above seasonal normal in Los Angeles watershed
Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS river monitoring sites in California
Sunny, high 69 today in the central valley, the north coming out of a cool night, currently at 41. Streamflow sensors record largely seasonal normal values statewide Wednesday, the Santa Ynez river is recording two sites above 90th percentile, much above seasonal normal in Los Angeles watershed, all other stations reporting normal for the season. As of this report, there are no floods, no 99th percentile high or extreme low flows.
Glenn and Colusa Counties are running a moderate drought rating midweek in Central Valley Region 5 watershed. Also in the Central Valley watershed, a below normal rating is applied in the north to southeast Siskiyou County and most of south Modoc County, also to east Shasta and west Lassen Counties. Colorado River watershed Region 7 is back to a below normal status on the drought map, the area impacted covers most of Imperial County and central Riverside County.
