California Water Boards HAB Update of Friday, Oct 18 carries DANGER advisories for three water bodies including Lake Anza, Contra Loma Reservoir and Clear Lake. Four Warning advisories are posted in Clear Lake.
Avoid inhaling, ingesting or absorbing cyanotoxins, see the bluegreen tags on the map to the right for the water bodies impacted.
Big Valley Pomo Environmental Protection Agency has been leading the program of water monitoring for Clear Lake for more than a decade, including sampling and testing for cyanotoxins. Find the latest toxicity test results for Clear Lake here.
Streamflow Situation from the USGS network of streamflow gauges in California
Clear and sunny again today with a high of 82F in the Central Valley, no hazardous weather in the forecast from San Joaquin - Hanford local forecast office. San Diego local forecast office reports sunny and clear weather high 72F. USGS network of streamflow monitors show below normal flows in Coastal Region 1 with the southwest of Humboldt County back into moderate drought Monday. Normal to much above normal streamflows in the coastal watersheds and Colorado River watershed remains below normal with below normal rating on the drought map at Imperial, Riverside and central San Bernardino Counties. An extreme low flow level is recorded on New River near Westmorland.
