Record high streamflows in Region 1 North Coast watershed
Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS river monitoring sites in California
Partly sunny, high 72 today for the Central Valley Region 5 watershed region, according to NWS Hanford-San Joaquin there is a 90% chance of showers tonight as the North Coast watershed Region 1 continues to experience widespread flooding and record high water levels for this date in monitoring history. See black tags on the map to the right for flood details, blue tags for 99th percentile flows that are not yet in flood stage.
Drought has nearly cleared out of California in time for the weekend, the areas formerly rated below normal are down to minimal area impacted. Relief for Colorado River watershed Region 7, no drought rating applied, for the first time in months.

A capsized vessel off Angel Island in San Francisco Bay area has left a sheen on the water as an unknown amount of gas and oil have spilled.
