Flooding in North Coast watershed region 1

Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS river monitoring sites in California
Hanford local forecast office of the NWS reports a sunny day 70 degrees, close to the 71 expected today for the Central Valley. A 30% chance of showers tomorrow afternoon with 80% chance of rain Friday night. Two monitoring sites are recording active flooding in the North Coast Region 1 watershed, Maacama Creek breached minor flood stage an hour ago, rising astronomically near Kellogg. Colgan Creek is flooding near Sebastopol, in and out of moderate flood stage since noon yesterday. The water level suddenly spiked upward around 930 am Wednesday, going from 68 feet deep to 76 feet deep in a matter of four hours. Most stations in Region 1 are reporting much above seasonal normal to high with more than 20 creeks running extreme high values, 99th percentile.
